Pulborough Brooks Baptist Church

  • An outward looking church, founded on prayer, building God's kingdom in Pulborough

  • Serving the community through Jelly Beans parent and toddler group, the bread stall at the village market and through a friendship group

  • Encouraged by three baptisms in September

BePartPulborough Brooks Baptist Church (PBBC) has just celebrated its sixth anniversary and we continue to praise God for his goodness towards us. The ethos at PBBC is to be an outward looking church that seeks to play its part in building God’s kingdom in Pulborough.  The main focus of our worship is centred on a lively Sunday morning service aimed at all sections of the community.  Baptism2Our primary focus is on young families but all members of the community are catered for.  The service is ‘seeker friendly’ and we try to include ways in which those who are not familiar with church can be made to feel welcome and at home.
Prayer forms the foundation of the church and we meet together as a whole church at least once a month.  We also meet in smaller house groups to provide support, fellowship, and teaching and to pray for the mission activities of the church.  Days of prayer and fasting are regular events in our church calendar.
During 2017 we have committed ourselves to serving the community through Jelly Beans – our parent and toddler group, the Bread Stall at the village market and a Thursday afternoon friendship group that meets in our local garden centre.  We also run activities that not only contribute to the life of the community but provide us with opportunities to proclaim the gospel.  For example, over the summer holidays we partnered with ‘Splash for Schools’ and ran a holiday club for up to 80 children which was very well received.
Baptism1As a church we both support and are part of the Christian Vision for Men (CVM) network as we believe that reaching men for Christ is crucial for the wellbeing of our society.  The church fellowship is excited about the future prospects of PBBC.  We feel that the Spirit of God is stirring the heart of our community.
  • Praise God for his continuing grace towards us as we celebrate our 6th anniversary. God is truly faithful.
  • Praise God for the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm of the church folk who are part of PBBC.
  • Praise God for the lives that have been blessed over this past 12 months and for the three people who were baptised at the beginning of September.

  • That we might not only grow spiritually but also numerically and that we might bear much fruit for the gospel.
  • That we would know God’s will and guidance as we plan outreach activities throughout the year.
  • That we will make a positive impact in our community and see people brought to faith in Jesus.
Baptism3A Big Thank You:
On behalf of everyone at PBBC I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the support that you have given, as individuals and churches, to the Home Mission Fund.  A grant from Home Mission has enabled us to focus on playing our part in building God’s kingdom. Without Home Mission support this would not have been possible.  So thank you all!
