Friday 13 May

Friday is an integral part of our time together at Baptist Assembly 2022 and we expect many people to be arriving in Bournemouth ready to meet with old friends and new. Whilst we won’t be in the Bournemouth International Centre on Friday evening, we want to encourage people to take the opportunity to connect.

West Cliff Baptist Church are kindly offering space to enjoy a Friday evening of connecting and conversation in their church hall. Pick up your takeaway from one of the local eateries and join together with other Assembly attendees. Click here for more details and to book your space, as numbers are limited.

14:00-15:00 Conversation Starters, Powered by PechaKucha
PechaKucha is Japanese for “chit-chat” and is also the name given to a particular technique of dynamic presentation, structured around 20 visual slides that progress automatically every 20 seconds.

Listening to one another is essential for us as Baptists as we seek to hear from God on a number of issues which are part of our shared Christian life and practice. On Saturday afternoon we have set aside some time to listen to 14 people, representing different parts of our Baptist family, who will bring 11 short presentations on the question, “What is the conversation you would like the Baptist Family to have together over the coming year?”

Having been invited into 6 conversations so far, choose one that has inspired or provoked you most and join a short conversation on the subject in one of the spaces in the venue
16:00-17:00 Conversation Starters, Powered by PechaKucha
Everyone back together in the Solent Hall for 5 more PechaKucha presentations and group discussion.

It is our hope that these sessions will inspire you to go back to your church communities and continue these vital conversations.
