Longest-serving treasurer?
Gas Green Baptist Church in Cheltenham has thanked Mr Colin Dymock who has retired after serving for 58 years as its Church Treasurer. We wonder whether this is a record within Baptist circles?
To mark the occasion last Sunday (5 July) Mr Dymock, who is a steam railway enthusiast, was presented with a voucher for his wife and himself for a day out on a steam railway, including lunch in a luxury dining car.
He was also given a suitably engraved model of the "Flying Scotsman" engine.
