DoubleTree by Hilton, Cheltenham
Beginning at 5pm on Monday and finishing after lunch on Wednesday

The team at SCBA would like to invite you and your leadership team to our Ministers' & Leaders' Conference. Cheltenham

Once again, our conference will be located at the lovely DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Hotel. The Georgian manor house offers complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking and is set in beautiful, landscaped gardens that overlook Lilley Brook's 18-hole golf course.  Guests can relax and enjoy the onsite spa, beauty salon and fitness centre or with a drink at the bar. Your room will feature a flat-screen TV and a hospitality tray. Every room has an en-suite bathroom facility with complimentary towels and toiletries provided. The onsite leisure centre features a 20-yard pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.

Our guest speaker Geoff Colmer
We are delighted to announce that Geoff Colmer will be our guest speaker at the conference. Geoff is the current BU President and is the Regional Minister Team Leader of the Central Baptist Association. In what seems like a previous life he was a professional musician, playing the bassoon in the English Northern Philharmonia, and music continues to play a large part in his life and ministry. Following his training at Spurgeon's College, Geoff was minister of Rye Baptist Church and then Melton Mowbray Church, before moving to his present role in 2004.

Geoff has a depth of understanding and experience of Baptists Together in all its expressions and has served on a large numbers of its groups. As an energetic advocate for women's ministry, he is please to serve on the Gender Justice Group.

The theme for Geoff's presidency year is being attentive to rhythms of grace: an attentiveness to God, in our lives, and in the lives of all those we encounter, both within the church and beyond it, 'seeking to be a movement of Spirit-led communities.'
