'Explore how people are coming to faith today - and how the church can respond'

Andy Glover shares details of upcoming Fresh Streams Equipping Days, which dive into the recent Finding Jesus research from the Evangelical Alliance

Finding Jesus 800

As a relational movement we aim to create space for meaningful opportunities to build friendships that have purpose, writes Andy Glover, giving courage to leaders and leadership teams as we serve our churches and communities.

One of the ways we do this is through our Fresh Streams Equipping Days

One of our values is to collaborate for the Kingdom. We believe the mission is bigger than any one name or movement and we are very excited to be collaborating with the Evangelical Alliance to share their recent research: Finding Jesus.

Join us as Rachael Heffer, Head of Mission at Evangelical Alliance, shares the headline findings and insights from the EA's new piece of research entitled 'Finding Jesus – Identifying pathways to faith in adulthood'.

This piece of research, undergone with researchers from the University of Durham, surveyed just under 300 adults who have come to faith in the last five years and explored with them the who, what, where, when, and how – exploring what influenced them in their journey towards Jesus, how they made the decision to follow Jesus, and what has happened since.

Join us as we look at the key messages and stories, and discuss both the encouragements, insights, and challenges of what these convey to the local Church in the UK in this season.

We currently have these Finding Jesus Equipping days, with hopes of offering more in future.

These are:

  • 5 November, Frinton Free Church CO13 9PW
  • 15 April, Tarporley Chapel CW6 0AG

Doors will open at 9:30 for simple refreshments and the event will officially start at 10:00. The day will include worship, prayer, teaching from Rachael and time to spend together and connect.

Lunch will also be provided, so be sure to book your spot.

Rachael serves as Head of Mission for the Evangelical Alliance where she seeks to resource and equip the UK Church in all forms of mission activity, to develop a widespread culture of evangelism, and to see Christian individuals grow in greater confidence to make Jesus known.

Rachael was previously on the leadership team of British Youth for Christ and served as Mission and Youth Adviser within the Diocese of Ely.

Rachael is married to Darren and lives in Ely, Cambridgeshire with her two teenage sons. She is very involved in her local church, overseeing their Youth ministry and mentoring. Rachael is a trained coach and mentor, loves fitness, travel and languages, and is a fully-fledged footie-mum!
