Lively discussion, story-telling and the sharing of ideas

Twenty people from six churches attended the latest small church hub in Cricklewood, north London reports Hilary Taylor

After enjoying the legendary CBC hospitality, we worshipped in song, listened to God and spoke encouragement over each other.

We then divided into mixed church groups for discussion and answered questions ranging from what draws people to the activities in the church building, to community activities, to how do people explore faith at our church, to what makes it difficult to share our faith and how do we overcome it, to how we make people feel welcome on their first visit.

There was lively discussion, story-telling and the sharing of ideas.

The feedback form asked how the churches might work together between hub events. Suggestions ranged from WhatsApp groups, to joint awaydays, to social events and sharing resources.

This is the key to the hubs - to establish an interdependent community of smaller churches.
