Tell your testimony in 3 minutes

Learn how to share your personal faith story from BMS World Mission church planter Ben Francis

Are you nervous about sharing your faith with others? Not quite sure what to say? It can be hard to know which details to include and what to leave out.

BMS Associate Team Leader for India Ben Francis has planted over 13,000 churches in South Asia, so knows a thing or two about evangelism. In this short video, he gives you helpful advice on how to share your personal faith story simply and effectively.

Telling others about Jesus is vitally important to us at BMS. At the heart of our highest goal is the desire to bring people to faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is also reflected in the new BMS strategy and our plan to share the gospel with over 500,000 people and plant 500 Christian communities by December 2020.

This Pentecost many churches, inspired by a call from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, are praying for Christians to deepen their relationship with Jesus and have the courage to share their faith with others. So while you work on how to tell your testimony in three minutes, pray too that others will be inspired to share their faith journey with friends and family.

For more advice on sharing your faith, check out Ben’s top ten tips for evangelism and Apathy in the UK: do we care enough to tell others about Jesus from the spring 2016 issue of Engage.
