Fresh Streams calls Baptists Together to a day of prayer and fasting

'We will take 26 March to slow down, turn our attention to God together, and ask for His Kingdom purposes to be realised across Baptists Together', says Fresh Streams Team Leader Andy Glover

On Thursday 26 March 2026, Fresh Streams is calling Baptist churches, ministers, leaders and individuals across the UK to gather in a united Day of Prayer and Fasting.

Working alongside the 13 Baptist Associations, we will take this day to slow down, turn our attention to God together, and ask for His Kingdom purposes to be realised across Baptists Together, said Andy Glover, Fresh Streams Team Leader.

Fresh Streams has previously hosted Prayer and Fasting Days for Baptists Together in March and September 2024 and 2025, with growing participation from churches and Associations across the country.

'These days are not simply events in the calendar — they are moments where we deliberately stop and turn our attention back to God together,' said Andy.

'We are praying for a fresh awakening of courage, unity and missional confidence across Baptists Together. Whether you join the online gatherings or pray and fast in your own context, we invite you to be part of this shared seeking after God.

'As we pray, we believe God shapes us, aligns us, and sends us.'

A Call to Prayer

On this day we are encouraged to pray for:

  • Mission — that many would encounter Jesus and respond to His call to follow Him.
  • Kingdom Presence — that our churches would be salt and light in their communities.
  • Bold Witness — that the Body of Christ would rise with fresh courage to share the hope we have in Jesus.

Themes for the day

Our shared focus will include:

  • Everyone Everywhere — seeking God’s heart for evangelism, discipleship, and church renewal across the UK and beyond.
  • The Quiet Revival — “The hour has come for you to wake from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11)

Join online at three key moments

We invite everyone to gather online at these points during the day:

9:00am – National Focus (60 mins) - Led by the Fresh Streams Leadership Team. Zoom Link

12:00pm – Regional Focus (30 mins) - Hosted by your Local Baptist Association or local Fresh Streams leaders

(Associations involved are encouraged to provide their own Zoom link)

4:00pm – National Focus (30 mins) - Led by the Fresh Streams Leadership Team Zoom Link

Andy added, 'We encourage churches and individuals to engage in prayer and fasting throughout the day—whether by joining these gatherings or through personal and local initiatives.

'Together, let’s seek God for a fresh move of His Spirit in our churches and communities.'
