Dr Graham Scroggie - can you help?

The author of a new biography of Dr Graham Scroggie has asked readers of The Baptist Times for their help in recovering items relating to his life   

Dr Scroggie was a Baptist minister and and author who died in 1958. After early pastorates in London, Halifax, and Sunderland, he began in 1913 his most influential ministry at Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh, remaining there until 1933. 

He would later exercise a traveling ministry in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the British Isles, before returning to pastor the Metropolitan Tabernacle, London, and then lecture at Spurgeon's College.

Professor Francis A Dalrymple-Hamilton, a biblical and theological scholar, is currently writing an up-to-date biography - and it's the Edinburgh period he's seeking help with.   

'I have covered the earlier period of his ministry and am now working on his time in Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh where he was from 1916 to 1933,' he explains.

'Charlotte Chapel have within the last few years left their old building and moved to a new one and in the process of doing so many of their historical records have got lost.   

'What I would appeal to any of your readers is if any of them have the Chapel's monthly magazine for the year 1916. All I would need is a temporary loan if any of your readers possess this volume.

'The second matter concerns his Bible which he used for all his pulpit work. After his death in 1958 this was given away to an unknown private person and once again all I would need is to physically examine it, not necessarily to own it.
